Privacy Policy

This policy covers marklavengood.com, store.marklavengood.com and the related pages run by Mark Lavengood and Bear Mark Productions, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan ("we," "us"). It explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you buy something. Your name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number if you give one, and what you ordered. Payments are processed by our store platform (Squarespace) and its payment partners. We never see or store your full card number.
When you join the email list or a club. Your email address, plus your name if you give it. The list runs on Mailchimp.
When you contact us or ask about booking. Whatever you put in the message, such as your name, email and event details.
When you browse. Standard technical information like your browser, device, pages viewed, how you got here and a general location based on your IP address. This is collected through cookies and similar tools (see below).
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the sites, and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our ads and show them to people who may be interested in the music. These tools set cookies and receive information about your visit, such as pages viewed and actions like adding to cart or checking out. Squarespace also sets cookies needed to run the store and your cart. Your cart may be saved in your browser so it is still there when you come back.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and manage ad settings in your Meta ad preferences and Google ad settings.
How we use it
- To fill and ship your orders, run memberships and answer your questions
- To send show dates, releases and merch news to people who signed up (every email has an unsubscribe link)
- To improve the sites and understand what is working
- To measure and target our own advertising
- To prevent fraud and meet legal and tax obligations
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run things: Squarespace (store and checkout) and its payment processors, Mailchimp (email), Google and Meta (analytics and ads), Cloudflare (hosting), and the partners who make and ship merch so your order reaches you. We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as needed for taxes and accounting. Email list information is kept until you unsubscribe. Other information is kept only as long as it is useful for the purposes above.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time. You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing contact@marklavengood.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Children
These sites are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page.
